Everplaces is a new social network that essentially functions as a Pinterest for the real world. It lets you build your own travel guide for you and your friends. Use it to remember places you’re at or create your to-do list to places to visit in the future, personalized with your own tags, images and notes. It is social and mobile and can be shared with friends fast and easily.
Available on the iPhone (with an Android version in the works), on the mobile App you can quickly create places with images, text and maps, broadcast via Facebook or Twitter, share to specific friends via SMS or email, save and view places while offline (list view, not maps), use current location, address or a place on the map, find directions and auto sync with web.
Using the product is simple. On the Web, you sign-up and you’re ready to add new locations. Currently you add locations through a simple form that includes the name, address, category, tags and a description field for the place. On the web, you will have a profile page with all your places and tips, as seen below.
With the categories, you’re able to create collections of different places that other people can see through your own profile. Naturally, people are also able to follow you on the site, but there’s an interesting twist to following people. You’re also able to import your location history from Gowalla and your own maps from Google Maps into the service to have some material to work with.
